Ralph Boschung to remain at Campos Racing for 2023 Formula 2 season

Ralph Boschung will continue with Campos Racing for the 2023 FIA Formula 2 Championship, with the Swiss racer aiming to build upon two strong seasons with the Spanish squad.

After ending 2021 on a high with podiums at the final two rounds in Jeddah and Abu Dhabi, Ralph got his 2022 campaign off to a great start by securing a pair of fourth-place finishes at the opening round in Bahrain. He continued his good form at Imola, where he scored his third F2 podium in the Feature Race.

Despite missing a number of rounds mid-season after being diagnosed with facet syndrome, Ralph made a defiant return to racing at Spa-Francorchamps, securing his second podium of the year in the Sprint Race.

The post-season test gets underway in Abu Dhabi on 23-25 November, before the start of the 2023 campaign in Bahrain on 3-5 March. The 14-round calendar features a maiden visit to Australia, with Melbourne’s Albert Park set to host the third round of the year.

Ralph Boschung: “I’m delighted to continue with Campos Racing in Formula 2 next season. With 2021 being my only full year in F2, I started 2022 strongly, but my campaign was compromised by my neck injury. We had a solid return at Spa and I’ve got a lot of unfinished business from the rounds I’ve missed. We know what we want to accomplish as a team next year, and we’ll make it our mission to be constantly fighting for some big results in 2023.”

Adrián Campos, Campos Racing Team Principal: “We’re excited to continue working with Ralph in 2023. The start of the season showed the potential we had going forward as a team, so it was difficult to see Ralph struggling with his injury. He showed such determination on his return to racing at Spa, he didn’t lose any of his speed or skill despite being out of the car for several months. We’re really looking forward to the coming season and to be teaming up with Ralph again.”
