Following his impressive performances in the GP3 Series last year, Ralph Boschung will step up to the FIA Formula 2 Championship, Formula 1’s premier feeder championship, in 2017 with the highly-successful Campos Racing outfit.
Ralph started his motor sport career by winning national Kart Championships. Having won several trophies and titles it became vividly clear to him that time had come to go one step further for his dreams to become true. He is young, he is a fast learner and he knows in which direction he must work if he wants his wishes to be brought to life.
Ralph started his single-seater career in 2012, at the age of 14. He was then the youngest driver starting in the Formula BMW Talent Cup season. In 2013, he progressed and gained experience at the ADAC Formel Masters throughout the year. He competed his second ADAC season in 2014 and accumulated 8 podium places with Lotus team. Ralph is among the youngest winners of the 7-year-old history of the ADAC Formel Masters.
At the age of 17, he made his debut in GP3 Series and he was the youngest competitor from the 2015 field. With 10 points-scoring finishes, including an impressive podium in Silverstone, over the course of his rookie year, he was top Swiss driver in the hughly competitive junior category. In his second season of GP3 last year, the Swiss stormed to his maiden victory at the Red Bull Ring and narrowly missed out on a top 10 placing at the end of the season, despite only taking part at selected rounds of the championship.
